Abstract: In this talk we present general ideas and interrelations of the following subjects:
1- Quantum Error Correction,
2- Topological Quantum Computation,
3- Topological order and the Kitaev Model,
4- Jones Polynomial
The emphasis is on the basic ideas and not on the technical machinery.
