| Job description: Brain engineering research center at IPM/Tehran is accepting applications for 3-year postdoctoral research fellows starting January 2019.
The lab is broadly interested in vision and neural engineering with a specific focus on electrophysiological studies on primate vision, computational neuroscience and visual prosthesis. The candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in neuroscience, electronic engineering, biomedical engineering, computer engineering or related field and will be involved in a collaboration with the Columbia University or the State University of New York, College of Optometry.
Candidates with experience in electrophysiology should have a solid background in principles of signal processing and Matlab programming and will be supervised by Dr. Reza Lashgari, Dr. Ali Ghazizadeh, Prof. Jose Manuel Alonso, and Prof. Jacqueline Gottlieb. Candidates with an engineering background should have experience in electronics, digital signal processing, image processing, pattern recognition, machine learning, and programming languages.
All candidates should have a strong interest in neuroscience and be fluent in spoken and written English.
