Abstract

The highest weight modules and Whittaker modules are two classes of modules for lots of important Lie algebras. In this talk we will first review some results on the Whittaker modules for finite-dimensional semi-simple Lie algebras, the untwisted affine Kac-Moody algebras and the Virasoro algebras. We will then present some results on the classifications of highest weight modules and Whittaker modules for the Schrodinger-Virasoro algebra.
