| Neutrinos have been surprising us with an unexpected behavior ever since they have been discovered.
Various experiments all over the globe (including the south pole and under the sea) are designed to study the behavior of neutrinos. Astronomy has played a unique role in shaping our understanding of the laws of the nature since the ancient times. Astrophysics, in recent years, has been developing fast with various observatories taking data. In topics such as cosmic rays or supernova evolution, particle physics and astrophysics come together. The aim of the present meeting is to study the recent developments in these two fields with a focus on the intersection of these two fields. The meeting will cover various topics including:
- Theory of neutrino physics
- Neutrinos in cosmology
- Cosmic rays
- High energy neutrinos
The meeting will start with a four day school followed by a two day conference. Background knowledge of quantum field theory, particle physics (specially basics of neutrino physics) is required. There will be a poster session for graduate students to present their results. Posters have to be in English. The registration fee for students who present a talk will be waived. Graduate students in the field of high energy and particle physics are encouraged to participate.
Application deadline for participants who need visa: June 15th, 2012.
Application deadline for participants who do not need visa (e.g.Iranians and Turkish citizens): August 1st, 2012.
Recommendation letter is not compulsory; however, graduate students who provide a reference letter will have priority in selection. The recommendation letter should be sent to
