Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are characterized by stereotyped and restricted behaviors in the context of social communication impairment. Electroencephalography is a powerful tool to study neurophysiologic activity related to post synaptic discharges in the neocortex. Many autistic children have EEG changes which are not always an indicator of clinical seizure, and it is worth mentioning Anti-EpilepticDrugs are neither effective to change this EEG abnormalities nor have any clinical benefit for these patients.Resting-State fMRI: Methods and Clinical Applications
