Abstract: | |
A simple model for the annihilation or creation of particles on a D-
dimensional region with boundaries is considered. Particles can be in-
jected or extracted at the boundary too. Two general behaviours of
this system is investigated. The stationary behaviour of this system, and
the dominant way of the relaxation of the system towards its stationary
state. Based on the rst behaviour, static phase transitions (discontin-
uous changes in the stationary proles of the system) are investigated.
Based on the second behaviour, dynamical phase transitions (discontin-
uous changes in the relaxation-times of the system) are studied. The
investigation is specialized to systems in which the evolution equation of
one-point functions are closed (the autonomous system).
